GARDEN AND COMPOST

POWERED BY EMERALD KEEPERS

Located between Village Elementary School and the Coronado High School (CHS) track and field, the Coronado School Garden and Compost Powered by Emerald Keepers is an initiative of the Coronado Unified School District (CUSD) and Emerald Keepers to grow a garden and foster a stronger sense of community.

Under Emerald Keepers’ leadership, CHS Emerald Keepers Club will oversee the compost and garden and work with elementary students. This unique outdoor laboratory is a venue for environmental education with a commitment to sustainability. Additionally, the Coronado Public Library will host composting and gardening workshops, and Coronado Master Composters and Master Gardeners will serve as advisors.
